Grade any ad hook, right where you're browsing.

Select a headline anywhere on the web — a competitor's ad, your own draft, a landing page hero — and get an instant 0-100 scroll-stop score, the behavioral principle at play, and three rewritten alternatives. Same engine as Improve My Ads' free web-based Ad Hook Grader, built into your browser.

Right-click, anywhere

Highlight any text on any page and grade it in two clicks — no tab-switching, no retyping.

Auto-detects ads for you

On Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Search, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok, a one-click 'Grade this ad' button appears right on ads it recognizes.

Local history

Your last 12 grades stay one click away, stored only on your device — never uploaded anywhere.

Nothing hidden

Only the text you explicitly select or paste is ever sent. No page scraping, no tracking, no account required.

How it works

1
Browse normally, or select any text
On Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Search, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok, ads get a small button automatically. Anywhere else, highlight a headline or ad copy yourself.
2
Click the button, or right-click → "Grade this ad hook"
A card appears right on the page: a score and diagnosis for a single hook, or two sample findings across different lenses for a full detected ad.
3
Copy a rewrite, or go deeper
Copy a rewritten alternative, or continue straight into Improve My Ads' full 6-lens audit — the ad's text carries over automatically.

FAQ

Is the Ad Hook Grader extension free?
Yes, entirely free. It's rate-limited (a handful of grades per hour, shared with the web tool) to keep it sustainable, but there's no sign-in, no card, and no paid tier for the grading feature itself.
What does the extension actually send, and to whom?
Manual grading (right-click or the popup) sends only the exact text you select or paste. On Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Search, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok specifically, it also scans the page locally to offer a one-click button on ads it recognizes — nothing is sent unless you click it. On every other site, it doesn't read the page at all. See the privacy policy for details.
How does the automatic ad detection work?
On Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Search, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok, the extension looks for common ad markers (a "Sponsored", "Promoted", or "Ad" label) and adds a small "Grade this ad" button directly on ads it finds. Click it to get a free 2-finding preview across different lenses — behavioral psychology, copywriting, offer, and more — pulled straight from the ad's own text.
How is this different from the full Improve My Ads audit?
The extension grades one line — a headline or opening line — in isolation, on hook/scroll-stop strength alone. The full audit (on the website) runs six lenses across the entire ad: behavioral psychology, platform fit, copywriting, offer, visual design, and conversion/CRO.
Does my grading history sync anywhere?
No. Recent grades are stored locally in your browser only, so they're private to your device and disappear if you uninstall the extension.

Read the privacy policy for exactly what the extension sends and stores.
