Questions people ask
What is a CPC checker?
A CPC checker tells you what advertisers currently pay per click for a keyword on Google. It's the fastest way to judge commercial intent: a keyword with a $25 cost per click has buyers behind it, while a $0.20 keyword usually has browsers.
Is this really free?
Yes. No account, no credit card, no Google Ads spend required. There's an hourly limit per visitor to keep the data provider's bill sane, but nothing to sign up for.
Why is this different from Google Keyword Planner?
Keyword Planner hides exact volumes behind an actively spending Ads account and shows wide ranges instead of numbers. It also never tells you whether you could rank for a keyword organically. This shows the exact figures plus SEO difficulty side by side.
What does 'business value' mean?
Monthly search volume multiplied by cost per click — what that keyword's traffic would cost to buy on Google every month. It is a measure of what the traffic is worth to advertisers, not a revenue forecast for your business.
What's the difference between ad competition and SEO difficulty?
Ad competition measures how many advertisers are bidding on a keyword. SEO difficulty measures how hard the organic top 10 is to break into. They're uncorrelated: a keyword can be expensive to advertise on and easy to rank for, which is usually the best opportunity there is.
Where does the data come from?
Live Google Ads search volume and cost-per-click data via DataForSEO, plus DataForSEO Labs for organic keyword difficulty. Results are cached for 30 days, which is fine because both figures are monthly averages.
